They have titles in Michigan.

I got one on the EX when I bought it but not the mail order quad. I think I could get one for the mini if I went down and paid a fee. Just didn't seem worth it.

they title them here too. i wouldnt want one (or auto, atv, motorcycle, etc) without a title. some states dont require it but if im paying for something, i want a peice of paper saying its MINE when the loan is paid in full.
you can make the sale with a bill of sale, pay off the bike then whoever is the creditor should release the title (they have it) to you and you can transfer it to the new person. usually, if the loan is through a local bank, you conduct this there and they can assist with some of this to make things go smoother.

I still owe money on my 660R and was wondering if I can sell it and pay it off (I would have money left over). I don't believe I have a title for it so can I even sell it or do I have to pay it all off first? Thanks in advance.

Titles are required in Illinois.

It's always a good idea to have a clear title before selling, make sure the buyer knows he won't get a clear title. Personally I wouldn't buy something without a clear title unless I was writing the check directly to the bank.

We have titles in Az, The only way that you could really sell it and the person buying it know that they would get the title is if they finaced it at a bank, and then the bank would get the title till that person payed it off. I would not buy something with out a title, a bill of sale is worthless in my book.

The obave post is true for Minnesota also, the bank holds my title.

We have titles in Ohio, and as long as the bank gets their money you will get your title.

We have titles in Utah as well. You say you owe on your quad still. Once you pay it off, they will send you the title. If you trade it in, no worries the dealer will do the paperwork for the title.
