oh yeah. the KAWI is going to have EFI, e-start, aluminum frame and reverse! do a search the link to it is posted somewhere... it should be a good seller if they did it right. im curious about it.
should be out in september or october.

Go with the 450R. It's a Honda. The engine is the best and most reliable. I like the yfz's also but I think the honda looks and rides better. Either one will make your blood boil after a wide open ride.

Flip a coin. I dont know what you've been reading but every mag that I've read agrees on one thing . The Honda motor is it. 2.5 more HP than yamaha. But thats stock and if you do anything to any of them it will smoke the stock version of the other. Dont you just like making the Decesions.

Go with the Yamaha for sure! I heard that Suzuki is awesome. Im waitin for the Kawi 450.

Well if was me I would buy the one that felt more comfortable. In the end they are close performance and handling wise and any things you dont like can be addressed in the after market world, but how you feel in the seat isnt going to change. Would be a long day riding on something that felt uncomfortable just my 2 cents

Those two are very close in performance. Either is going to be a massive improvement over the V force handling wise.

bberck is right oyu need to go with the one you feel more cofortable on you can change almost anything on a quad with aftermaket parts but you cannot change comfort go with the honda you wont regret it

yea but i kinda like that but now they are even selling the monster helmets that travis pastrana wears have you eber actually been to a supercross race they are loud i wonder what kind of exhaust they are running because those are not just aftermarkets

yea they are fast it is amazing to see the big pile up out of the gates and can you say loud just about everytime 2 or more people crash and then when they are jumpimg and crash it is amazing how they just get up start there bikes (sometimes they dont start) and are back in the race im suprised there bikes even run after some of the crashes if seen

i trail ride alot but i love jumping ive only owned a quad since feb. but im getting more air then most people who ahve been riding all of there life i hate when people with really nice quads like z 400 bring it to the track and cannot jump at all im riding a 250 and can get more air

Earlier I posted about needing a nimble weel handling machine. I now know I want a 450.
I know it has been asked a billion times but i am trying to decide between a 450R and a YFZ450.
I am 6-2 and the YFZ felt small to me but everything I have read seems to indicate that it is the better overall machine. My brother in law rode his brother's YFZ and he's the same size as me, he said it wasn't that small so maybe it is just me.
ON the other hand the Honda feels comfy but everything I have read says its faster but doens't handle as well.
It will be used for some light MX and trail riding but no racing. I just want something that handles better than my v-force.

James Stewart has been doing good on his Kawasaki this year in supercross, so maybe they
are better. But those are pro riders, so I dont know.

I havent been to a supercross race since 98' or 99', I cant remember what exact year it was.
But I just recently saw an atv freestyle competition in my town. Those quads had everything
on them. I would be be scared to top out those bikes. And did you see the freestyle comp.
today on nbc? Those were loud even on t.v.!

It seems like those are the top 3 riders right now. and during the freestyle mx comp., twitch
crashed pretty bad and had to leave the comp. Nate Adams won and travis pestrana
was in the top five. I have a 150 quad, so I know I couldnt keep up w/ these bikes. lol

Yeah and how fast ricky and them get through those whoops is amazing. In a mag I read that
ricky was going 45 mph through whoops, thats pretty fast considering how much those can
slow you down.

Take 20 years experience w/ fearless racer and you pretty much get ricky carmichael, james
stewart or chad reed. The other racer are the same thing but would take forever to
remember 24 different names.

The crash today w/ twitch was crazy. You know how people in freestyle go slow up a steep
jump then backflip? Well he tried that and it looked like he freaked out and bailed off the
bike. He landed on his feet when he fell, but when he hit the ground his knees went all the
way up to his face. I think he broke quite a bit in that wreck. I tried a small jump once
and hit these bumps that looked like whoops where I landed. I fell off the side of the
bike pretty much. This 150 has had some good beatings in the desert. Its crazy that
its lasted this long.

yeah, and the thing thats really annoying is when these kids I talked to before say they have
an rm85 suzuki that goes 140mph and a raptor that goes 180mph. I think their brain
works at .0000000000000000000000001 mph. lol.

The yamaha is better if you trail ride or dont speend all your time at the track other wise go for the honda.
