If I m not mistaken these bikes have circut breakers not fuses.I would bet you that they run it with a bad battry and blew ALL the light bulbs.Check the bulbs(this comon).

The 250 is a 2stroke so all you do is add 2stroke oil to the resevoir in front. To get the seat off there is a metal lever around the edge of the seat pull it and take the seat off.On the manual try ebay there is always manuals on there an old Clymere manual for polaris would be ok for your quad.

Welcome to the forumsBR>What year is it? My bud paid 1,500 for a 2000 TB 250 that needed work and the plastic was cracked...

You will like it, the TBs there good starter quads...

Sounds like a good deal to me...

Posted by: trailrider500

Yes,polaris makes one for them.. But its a 250 you really cant pull a whole lot otherwise you might end up smoking your belt because it don't have low rage and lack of low end torque...

For a 96 yeah sounds good i would not pay more then 1,400 for it...

anytimeBR>If it's light and rolls easy (make sure the tires of the equipment are aired up) and use a little common sense, you should be fine..

Any questions you have just ask...

They are great bikes i never hear anything bad about them... They told you to start it in gear because the idling was most likely to high and the clutch was starting to engage, If you were to start it in neutral and then put it in gear it would grind etc not good for the trans.. It only idled for a few seconds because of the idling also, The clutch was starting to engage and the engine was not making enough power at that time to turn the clutch at an idle...

I was replying to that thread a the very minute it got deleted i am not sure why it did though...

Posted by: trailrider500

Go to Rocky MT They have the VERY best prices on everything...

The idling problem is a small one, just adjust it so that it can idle in neutral then when you shift into gear it don't grind.. Thats it, yes once the machine is at a stop you can shift into forward or reverse from neutral etc...

I had found out just why your post was trashed, you cant post similar topics in different forums...

Your Welcome... The site is working now....

Should be fine... From what i hear everyone loves there mudlites... Hey best thing you can do is make a thread in the polaris forum about different tires... I know some about tires but not all that much about mud tires...

Be sure to tighten the chain with load on the bike, if you tighten it unloaded the chain will be overtight when you get on it and you will be straining the chain, spockets and bearings. The fuses and the junction block I believe are in front of the fuel tank on the left side, should be able to remove a cover to access them.

Hello, I am currently looking at a 250 Polaris Trailblazer, the lady is asking 1400, I counter offered 1,000 and she might come down but im not sure. This quad looks like brand new, not a crack or anything wrong anywhere except the ligths dont work but it is most likely a fuse or something small. She said she had ridden it twice and it showed looked flawless. So what is the top dollar I should pay for this quad? Thankyou

Thanks for the welcomes.
Its a 1996 oops left that out lol.
Would I be able to put a trailer hitch on it,or something like that?

Okay, thats cool this prolly just a starter 4 wheelers-for the friends kinda thing. But I might wanna tow some light farm equipment around with it.
Thanks for the quick replys.

I do beleive my other thread in the Polaris forum got deleted so ill ask here
When I test drove it the other day they told me to start it in drive, which I did and it did ok. Is this normal?
Then when I pulled back in from the test drive it was till indrive and it only idled for like 4 seconds, is that normal?
Other that it ran fine and suprisingly strong for a 250 got my 200+ pound carcus up and moving pretty quick.
And one last thing is there anything that is commonnly wrong with these or anything I should look for?

Posted by: Trinot

Me either. But your saying if I where to start it in neutral and then put it in gear its bad for it? So I cant just like shift in to neutral and then back in while the machine is on?

But it doing that is not a bad sign?

Im prolly going to get some mud lites for it because i heard they rip up the mud and dont add much weight. Any reccomendations where I should buy from.

Ok I saw that it said dont post the same topic twice, but I was going to leave this one as the price thing and leave the mroe techish questions in the polaris forum. But sorry about that. I tryed to go to that site but apperantly its down? Thanks

Posted by: Trinot

Ok cool the site is back up now decent prices. Thanks..also on the tire thing now that im reeding around are mud lites the best?

Posted by: Trinot

And the front tire size is 23x7x10 would it be ok to get 23x8x10

Posted by: Trinot

Ok I got the quad. I have a few more questions.
Is there a fuse box on it somewhere? If so where? Because the lights dont work for some reason and I think maybe its a fuse?
The chain seems a bit loose, how should I tighten, just take a link out?
Where could I get an owners manual because it didnt come with one and I think it would answer a lot of my questions.

I emailed several polaris dealers with no response, im gonna start calling them here in a minute
Any help?

Ok, ive looked all around this atv and I dont see where to change the oil at? Also will I just be changing oil or will I be chaning oil and filter? Ive tried so hard to get a manual and no response, called 2 polaris dealers who havent returned my calls and no response to emails. Also I noticed that the seat lifts up and i see something under there but i cant get the seat all the way up and dont want to risk breaking it so does anyone know the proper way to get the seat up?
