technically both are availible, but the raptor 350 is basically just a cosmetic touch up with a few very minor changes. However should be quicker just because of the smaller tire size.

Maybe you should consider a Blaster to start out with and go from there.

i think the z400 can pull out a little faster then the 400ex. But have you thought about fixing up a 88' or something like that Honda 250r. I mean with a couple man hours and some elbow grease those things are SICK. They can smoke a lot..my z250 for example..no SWEAT!

not sure what top speed of 250r is ..but its FAST!! FREEAKIN FAST.specially if ya mod it up. Try and look into a 250r with only like little fixes needed, i'm not a professinal either, but if i were you I would go w/ the 250r. They are fast and reliable.

I am getting into racing, and I was wondering what would be the best quad for that. I have NEVER had a sport quad of my own, so I need advice. Do I need to start racing a little 250cc quad to is a 400ex nice? mostly I have been looking at the 400ex, but I need some more $0.02 to fill up the doller.
Remember, I am not yet 16, but I will be able to race if my parents sign a form, that says I can. But what do you think? Is a 400ex a good starter bike? or is the z400 better? what about blaster? ect....

Oh, if you have another quad that you think would be good, then tell me.

HAY, GOOD IDEA!
Just kidding. I don't think I need a 450 for my first sport atv. But its going to be my second quad!!!!

Ya, I have thought of that. But I am no pro when it comes to fix-ing up ATV's. But if I could find the right person to come and do that for me, it would be awesome. But what is the top speed of a modded 250r? I don't know, I was just wondering. But I think I will stick to a newer quad.
