Doesn't Polaris also have one brake handle for both the front and back brakes? I wouldn't care for that setup. There are times when you either need one or the other or more of one than the other. I guess it depends on how you'll use the quad.

Usually the free items are part of a current deal being offered. (Bonus bucks, winches, plows, etc.) You might get something small thrown in with the deal. Watch for padded prices. They'll increase a sticker price so it looks like they're giving you a good deal. Start at the Manufacturer retail price, transfer fees, title (watch those fees) and taxes. Ask for the complete price that it would cost to buy the quad. Depending on if the model is in demand, try to get it for the retail price or less. Total cost. Price around.

I purchased my daughters Sportsman 90 form Polaris of Chattanooga
last November, and would recommend them to anyone interested in
purchasing a Polaris ATV, they probably have the best prices that I've
seen.. I don&39;t know for sure how the parts or service departments are,
but I can say for the couple hrs I was there I didn&39;t see any angry or
irate customers.. My advice to you would be to try and go on a weekday,
I made the mistake of going on a Saturday, and had the ATV tested and
picked out in about 30 min, and had to wait about an hour+ because of
the line of folks purchasing ATV's… they sold a bunch that day. I wasn't
able to get any freebees other than the standard kids helmet that came
with the atv.. I dont think they do much haggling since their prices are so
low, but you never know, it may be worth a try..

Totaly satisfied with Polaris of Chatt

one more thing,

they were a little hard to find, once I got onto Dayton Blvd from Hwy 27,
it was several miles, down Dayton Blvd.. you would expect it to be near
the other business on the road, but you have to continue to drive into
residential housing, and then it opens back up and its right there on the
left..

Engine braking is when you use the engine to slow down, rather than the normal, hand or foot operated brakes - there are no hand controls involved in engine braking.

Apparently, under engine braking, some atvs will slow down all the wheels (which is good), and some only slow down the rears (which can be bad).

Research their engine braking system thoroughly before you buy a Polaris. Their engine braking only brakes the rear wheels, which cause them to skid when descending a steep hill. It can be quite scary when the rear end starts skidding downhill. I saw a test of the Polaris on ATV TV and they showed it happening. it was just like the rear brake was locked up, and they said it was really dangerous if you were on a side hill, you'd skid sideways and possibly roll.

Not telling you not to get it, personally I liked the Polaris when I rode it, but that engine braking on the rears only is scary. Look for them to change it next year. I decided to get a Cat instead. Not as fast, but more torque and power.

Just my 2 cents

Hello everyone. I've gotten some really good responses
as of late in regards to buying a new Polaris Sportsman 500 HO,
So I've decided to do just that. I have researched and found
that there is a place in Chattanooga, TN called, "Polaris
Victory Triumph of Chatt." Its 3 hours from where I live but
they have a really good price. Has anyone here on the forum had
any dealings with them and if so have you been totally satisfied
with everything. From your dealing, price, good product setup etc.?
Can you haggle maybe an even better price? or Freebees?

Thanks in advance.
