Read the january atv action they voted P700 NUMBER ONE I have two 03 p650 and no problems and outrun all (sport utilaty atvs)

both are great machines. If you are planing on going muddin with it then the sportsman would probably be best because of the IRS. But the prarie motor has been proven to be very effective. so with that being said the new cat 650 would be a great choice to. You also said you want to race with it and the actuall prarie is a good racer for being a ute. Also if you race you want a streight axle more then likely...hope that this helped

Both of my uncles have the Sportsman and they are sweet machines. If I was going to get a utility I would definately go with the Sportsman.

i see a lot of both around here. the polaris seems to be holding up better in the mud which we have a lot of here in east texas. the bombardier outlander is doing pretty good too. i heard bombardier is coming out with a 700 outlander.

hi, i'm new to atv's and i'm looking to buy the kawasaki praire 700 or polaris sportsman 700. i'll be needing the atv to tow, plow, race, go mudding, climb hills and just have fun. I did some research and found these two to be at the top of my list followed by the yamaha grizzlly. I need some help to choose which is the best.
