Here is my guess. -You're supposed to be 16 yrs old to ride a larger quad. You're also supposed to be 16 to drive an auto. The registration is really a matter of ownership of the quad and you don't have to be 18 to own a quad or a car. Soo, you should be able to register a quad in your name even now at the age of 16. (Unless there's some strange law in your local area.)

One reason to register a quad or car in an adults name would be because of insurance.

Hello I just have a quick question about registering an ATV
I Live in Wisconsin and I will be 17 in February. The question I have is does anyone know how old you have to be to register a wheeler under your name. I was wondering because I had a friend tell me that you have to be 18 to get it in your name. Is this true

I live in your neighboring state, Minnesota and you have to be 18 to register your four wheeler. Thanks dad. (i'm only 16)
