Crash - you must be getting reamed for having a hot sport bike. I pay about 250 a year - For the Eiger + the Ozark + the TRX + the LT.

Hey, everyone missed the point that a lot depends on the AGE of the insured assigned as the main driver of a particular machine. I tried to get insurance for my 9 year old's Raptor 80.. because of his age, it was extremely high... and all I wanted it for was theft and fire... Progressive was high for an 8 year old, and they would not allow me to be the assigned driver on all of the machines...

In MT I get mine through state farm..its comp/collision no liablitity or injury 03' 500 scrambler $136 yr 04.5 700 EFI is $168 a year. Progressive and Geico both from my personal experience are a complete DITA.. they wanted 1600 to insure my Kawasaki zx12r per yr. State farm i pay $180 yr.

I just bought my insurance online with Progressive. Good price and they didn't even require registration (I only ride on our private property).

You're not kidding man! Maybe it's my age (23). I was going to buy a Buell Firebolt (had a smokin deal on it) so I called to get a price quote and they came back with $12,500.00 per year!!! That more than the stupid bike cost! Needless to say that deal slipped through my fingers. All because of insurance! Oh well, could always be worse.

I don't have it, but I have heard from a few people that PROGRESSIVE has just about the best prices. I know one who is paying around $80 or so per year. I've also seen Allstate at around $100 or so, maybe a little less ????
Good Luck

I have a question about insurance. Does anyone that lives in New Jersey (home of the auto insurance nightmare) have insurance on thier quads. If so, through what company? Since all the major companies either dont write insurance in Jersey or offer policies that you need to rob a bank just to make the down payment. Any help would be appreciated
Posted by: Iceman1874
Progressive and Gieco do not sell insurance in new jersey and state farm has stopped selling new policies from what I've heard until late 2005. Like I said New Jersey = Insurance nightmare.

This is an old message, but I wondered if you found Insurance in NJ?
Posted by: Fourtrax300
I have State Farm. Liability only costs me $20.80 per year! But due to the fact I am an "old guy" with a good driving record and my ATV is 16 years old they must think I need a big discount!!img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">

I live in California and go thorugh Liberty Mutual on my 2004 Polaris Sportman 700. Just got my yearly renewal in the mail two days ago. Price for this year is $96. This includes coverage for both damage and theft, with a $200 deductible.

Not sure if you are still interested but Foremost Insurance company will write in NJ. Not cheap but they have alot of options and pricing flexibility.
