Kawasaki V-Force? That is if they make a Plow mount for them. If you need 4wd then go with a Honda Rincon.

I would agree with Bing on this one going by your post.

I would visit your local Kawasaki dealer and sit on one because you might not even like the feel, who knows. Then I would hang out in the Kawasaki forums and see what other owners have said.

If your not in a hurry I would take the time to read the different forums because opinions vary on each brand.

Right now though I feel like the Praire is the sportiest 4x4 / work quad.

For uses that you stated I would also have to agree on the Prarie. It is more of a sport/utility, the sportsman is more of a utility/sport. 1 place where the sp will be better is the softer seat and ride.

I own a 2004 Polaris 600 Sportsman and a 2003 Kawasaki Prairie 650. In my opinion, the Polaris is a better utility quad than the Kawi. Conversely, the Kawi is a better Sport quad than the Polaris. When it comes to pulling, nothing has the grunt of a Polaris in low range. If you are looking for raw power and speed, nothing keeps up the the Kawi 650/700. When I'm riding with friends and it's balls to the wall, nothing can keep up with my Kawi. Both machines have been completely trouble free, but I've only had the Polaris for two months.

i would recomend having 4 wheel drive as well. the sportsman 700 is a good choice its the king of pulling. even though i dont like the prarie i would also have to recomend this one as well, its a bit sportier than the 700 sportsman.

How about the Suzuki Twin peaks? Its the exact same as the Prairie 700 but available in sportier colors..................

I'm also looking into a new quad. I mostly trail ride and I've gotten down to either a SP600 or a Griz. The thing that bothers me most about the SP is it has no backup pull start. This is ok for around the farm, but I'd hate to be stuck out in the woods with no backup starter.

Well I geuss we know what everyone thinks of the prarrie.

Persinally I like the grizz. Their fast, and the ride is incredible!!! Put a set of gators on that thing and your ready to roll

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and kind of new to ATV's. I've ridden a few sport quads 300-360's, and my dad's polaris 300 4x4 (whimp quad) ... Here is what I'm looking to use it for...

- Plow my 420' driveway
- Work around the property pulling, towing, dragging
- off road trail riding in the mountains, woods, etc
- sport riding on flat lands, power sliding the corners, blasting acceleration, wheelies, etc

I'm 39 and have been riding dirt bikes, go-carts, fast cars, and sportbikes all my life.. I own a '69 BB vette, and 02 Suzuki Hayabusa ... so as you can imagine I love speed and power....

So what do you guys think? Any and all opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes.. I really would like 4x4..... I've gotten stuck 3 times on my brothers Yamaha sport quad.... If it would have had 4 wheel drive, it would have been a piece of cake.

So yes..deffinately 4x4!

Just from what I had read on a few web sites.. I was leaning towards the Prairie 650/700.... I was curious to read that the Suzuki twin peaks was basically the same machine.. ?? That adds another possibility... What about the Suzuki Vison? I've read a couple of reviews that said that it was a sportier 4x4 ATV then the bigger bore bikes... but my concern is does it have the hussle fun factor that the bigger bikes have?
Anybody ridden / own one of the Visons want to jump in with their feedback?

Thanks again!!

I wasn't thrilled with the SP650.... I liked the Grizzly much better.. but then the last bike I tried was the P700.... WOW.. what a difference in smooth performance. The Grizzly road nice and smooth.. but felt a bit washy at speed... where as the P700 felt stable and sure-footed. I think they've changed the frt springs on the P700 -vs- the P650 my brother has.. .his dives in the corners, or under hard breaking, but the P700 didn't feel that way at all...

btw.. thanks guys for all the comments!! Your recommendations of "just ride as many as possible and see what you like" worked!!
