If you plan on any trails go with the Warrior the reverse is a blessing but if you plan on a track and roads the 400EX is great. Both are about equal it takes a good rider to make a big differance on either one.

If you were 40 lbs heavier I would say 400ex.
Until then I would stick with a 300ex, warrior, or blaster (all fine choices)

if you want to go lots of places, i recomend the wolverine

What size/age are you? Where do you ride? How much experience?

I rode a Warrior for years. I was never so happy as the day I sold it and got the 400EX!!

Well for a person of your size, you can't really go wrong with a Blaster.. or even a Warrior. I have had both... and for the $, can't be beat... plus they are pretty indestructable if you don't hit a tree with them.
I would convert the 2 stroke to premix rather than use the oil injection though. Plus both have a ton of speed parts available if you outgrow the stock performance... You can get into a new blaster for around 3K

Well I am not going to be drawn into a this machine is better than that tit for tat.... I will however step in and defend the Warrior's honor. If numbers are any indicator, I believe I read something somewhere that indicated that the Warrior is the number one selling ATV of all time.... that many units, and that many owners can't all be unhappy with their choice.
Comparing a more modern design like the Honda is on one hand unfair to compare it to a design that is probably 10 years older, but on the other hand, it is pretty flattering that a comparison is being made...
The bottom line is that there are a lot of them out there gathering dust... and a bit of soap and some polish should bring them back to life for many enjoyable rides into the sunset. The machine is capable of being ridden hard, can get some air if pushed, and won't do anything wierd when you get in over your head. In short, although it may not be the latest in technology, it is a solid rock for a machine, and if you decide to sell it a couple years later, it probably will go for about what you bought it for...They are tanks...

hey this guy in my town that i know has a fully modded blaster that he';s selling for cheap i don't remember how much i think it was like 1600

400ex, you dont have to push it. blasters are super weak. warriors are slow and overpriced but fun machines. Got mine for 3350, prob could get yours for 3000

i suggest a 400 ex, you can find them for around 3 thousand, and are easy to learn on, and are great quads.
