banshee is much faster, but you would have a lot of competition at the dragstrip. they are also pretty good as trail machines. Just beware of arm pump, just like any other 2 stroker. 400ex is an excellent trail machine, but not all that fast comparibly. Top speed isnt really as much of an issure unless you are riding the 1/4 mile. the 400ex will be slower than any stock shee unless you give the ex a nice big dose of displacement. In closing, the shee is king of the dragstrip, and its not a bad trail machine at all. The 400ex is excellent at the mx track and in the trails, but seriously lacks at the dragstrip.

Lets just say that the Banshee has a higher top speed so it might be better at drag racing.
The 400ex has better handling so it might be better on the trails. Just pick which activity you'll be doing the most and buy the quad that fits your needs.

I would buy a 400 ex because you probility going to trail ride more than drag.the 400ex is perfect for riding trails.banshee is made for racing because of its ungodly speed plus it sits lower to the ground and it skin that shee all to pieces riding trails.

I ride mosly trails and i will be in organized drag racing.I'm 14. Will a banshee be to big for me? Will i kill my self within a day on one?

i would go for the ex, simply because i am more fond of the 4 stroke, and that i have alot of experience on the ex. I liked it alot, but have found that my z is a much better quad, newer style, and fits my riding better. I know that banshees are great drag racers, but the ex is way better on the trails. It can also drag race with some mod or even a high performance kit in it.

it is your choice, but my suggestion is the ex.
