I would say go 4x4. Better to have it and not need it than vice versa.

be careful with e-bay though, theres been a lot of scams on there recently. just today somebody told me about a scam about a yamaha YFZ 450 selling for $2,700, so if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

may i suggest the honda rancher? i have found that to be a nice utility and some sport quad. They are made with many options, including 2x4, and 4x4, and both, AT , and all kinds of accessories. Good quads that can do what you want them to do.

Watch E-bay and you'll find wolverines in the 2500 - 3000 range constantly. Even some in the PA area from time to time.
