New or used? You couldnt go wrong with a 325 or a new 330 Polaris Trailboss.

My mother got a bayou 220 last summer. She loves it.

Hubby bought me a Rally last year for my b/d. It was the first time I had ever ridden one. Loved it -but not enough torque for steep climbs at Hatfield MCCoy - so he got me a Recon in Oct. Just traded the Recon in for a Prairie 650 : ) . It will climb anything!! (I am a Mom and a Gramma BTW) I wish I would've started riding a long time ago, we have so much fun. We still have the Rally for our 14 year old daughter. She liked it better than the Recon, so we kept it.

I bought my Mom an 02 Polaris Trail Boss. She is great on it. We ride some pretty rocky steep trails down in Tennessee, and she rides with the best of them. The only time she ever had a problem, was with jumping my Dad's 500 HO. She was going way too fast and rolled it. She did get right back up and ride it 5 miles back down the mountain. I told her I felt bad she got hurt, but for about 30 seconds, she was the coolest Mom on the block.

Not too bad for a woman who is..well...I'm 38, do the math.

My Dad does great too. He's been just about everyone I've been, and I've got a couple of screws loose. It's great to have my parents, my son and my neice ride. A good family thing.

My mom rides a Trailblazer 250 and loves it but occasionaly will take the 'ol mans scrambler 400 when he breaks out the Banshee...They are both in 50s.

I have a trailblazer and I love it. Has plenty of power to get wherever you want to get, and it is so easy to handle it's great for trail riding.

That's cool your mom is riding. I'm 38 and I hope i'm still riding into my 60's + . I try to get my mom on my 4 wheeler and she won't even consider it.

I am going out on a limb and suggesting the Bombardier Rally. It would be the next step up while staying with an automatic. (Other quads in this size and price range are semi-automatics) The Rally has 176cc, liquid cooling, disc brakes, 4.4 fuel cap., 388lbs., and retails for somewhere around $3000. I do wish Bom. would have gone with dual a-arms and shaft drive. When your mother restricts herself to an auto, she is really cutting down on her choices. There is always the Kawasaki KFX700 sport with an automatic. Just kidding!

Hello,

I am in the market for another quad for my mom. Currently she rides a Breeze 125, but has outgrown it. She want more power, but still does not want to move away from the Automatic.

Any reccomendations on a Automatic Quad with more PEP than the Breeze?

Thanks

thanks for the suggestions. She loves ridding, we got out to Pismo about once a month. Good to see here out there having a good time.

I think that a Polaris Trailboss is a good quad and would be a good choice for your mom because you can ride it at low speeds comfortably but if she needs the power for climbing or obstacles it will also have plenty of juice on tap just in case. I personally have ridden one and think that it is a great quad for all-around fun.
