If your going to be plowing snow and doing yard work with it, get a 4-stroke! 2-strokes are better performers, but 4-strokes are much better "utility" quads. Rick

Get the Kodiak. Four-stroke quads are so tough; they have so much low-end torque, as stated by the other two people who responded above. Plus, the Kodiak is so much fun to drive in 2WD.

i agree 2 stroke is for race a 4 stroke will make more torque. good 4 what you described.

I'm wanting to buy a new Quad. I have two 230 Quadsports. I'm looking at the Kodiak(4 stroke) or explorer(2 stroke). I will be using it for trail riding, snow plowing and yard work. Whitch one? Any opinions would be helpful thank you
