Rob, a Wolverine won the Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree Mud Bog (with stock limited-slip front differential). Read about it (there's even a URL to a photo) in the "Where To Ride" forum. Good luck and you can't make a bad choice--I recommend the ATV Safety Institute Rider Course, whatever model you purchase. Tree Farmer

Rob, I ride with a guy who has a '98 Wolverine. The machine seems very capable, I've never seen him get stuck in anything but deep mud. The maintainance seems reasonable, and Yamaha seems to have a good reputation. The only thing he wishes that he had on the Wolverine was a low range, it is also full time 4wd (can't turn it off). That makes it somewhat more difficult to "toss around" in the curves. All in all, he has no real complaints about the bike. I think no matter what bike a person gets, you cant help but have fun.
