With your new tires, the problem may still exist. Maybe adding air pressure to the rear tires would help in your situation? How about gearing up on the front sprocket? You should loose a bit of low end when going up a tooth. Have you checked your preload on your rear shock? If you have too much sag....you could have too much weight transferring when launching. When lined up beside a bunch of other quads wide open....it is hard to focus and launch exactly as you practiced (for me anyways), so it may be most consistent launching wide open (if you can keep the front end down). Good luck!

I was told to run slightly worn holeshots on the rear of my 400 to keep it from hooking up so much and to keep the front tires on the ground. What do you think?

Its true to a point. if its muddy thiers no such thing as hooking up to much. but in a normal conditions it does work. Last year when i was racing i would all ways get out of the turns better than 400s because the riders couldn't keep the front ends down but my main competion last year was on worn out holeshots and he was the only 400 to pull right with me out of a turn and not wreck in to a tree. but as i said if its muddy your going to have a hard time.
