You do not have to use a Roll Design front end to use Axis shocks. You can get them that will bolt directly on to a 250R stock chassis.

Give john at Legacy ATV a call he does shocks for JERIMIAH JONES & BEN JACKSON. He can have you a set in about two weeks,I waited two months for a set of TCS.Legacy atvs # 336-597-5400

I'm not sure on his prices but I do know he is less than axis & pep. He builds his own and can set them up any way you want. John is a pleasure to work with and knows his business. tell him Blackwell sent you his # is 1-336-597-5400.

There is a weld in kit that converts the 300ex shock mounts into 250r spec. if you did that you could use what ever brand of shocks you want. I use PEP ZPS shocks all the way around on my 88 250r. If you use custom axis you would have to go with a roll design front end because of the shock mount position. I would reccomend TCS front shocks for stock a-arms. I used them in hare scrambles and they worked really nice.

yea custon axis and pep

TCS I'm lookin for a good rear shock for my 300ex. TCS make shocks for 300exs don't they?

PEP and Custom Axis are the most common shocks used by the top pros. But unless you ride like a pro, its probably not worth it to spend the extra money on PEP or Axis when TCS is much cheaper and basically the same shocks as Axis. Axis is a little better made, but they both use internal shim stack valving. TCS also has adjustable ride height for a low center of gravity on the TT or MX track or high ground clearence for desert, baja, or woods racing. I know a few pro racers that race PACE series and run TCS on their CT330Rs. If you go with TCS they'll probably revalve the rear and sell you new fronts. It took me about two months to get my shocks, but they were worth the wait. I got my TCS shocks through Graydon Proline.

RidE, TCS, Axis, and PEP have a setup called 'zero preload'. The preload adjustments on these shocks do not adjust the preload, but instead the ride height.

I am thinking of buying some shocks and was wondering what type of shocks do the pro's use.

i have tcs front and works ultra croos real. pro's use those two plus axis and PEP. i would very much recommend TCS

I have noticed lately that mx and tt racers are not the only ones running low ride heighth. I know alot of XC racers are also running alot of sag on the rear shock. Gets you down lower in the washed out off-cambers. The ones that I have seen running this set-up are going very fast, and they are running Axis.

WE USE AXIS DUDE, I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THEM...

If you want them before you die, call TCS. Todd's the best guy you'll ever talk to in this business

Depends. dont worry on the brand of shock. talk to the company that will build and service the shocks for you. all the good companies should set the shocks up to fit your needs. They should ask you a lot of questions and give you a time frame of when you can expect delevery. they should also offer to give a limited warrenty on the set up in case it dosent work well for you at first.
