blaster would win easily, even stock v stock also its true that 200cc 2 stroke = 400 cc 4 stroke

z400man, how old are you? any person that knows atv's knows that 200cc 2 stokes = 400cc 4 stroke plus your z400 is bored out if it was liek that yeah i can c how would win but stock vs stock i'd beat you off the line you would beat me at the finish because mine would be wownd out

Posted by: mdebuck

it would be close but like i said the 4 stroke would win the drag race

Posted by: mdebuck

really i thot they were the exact same bike different body

With todays technology the 4 strokes are starting to bridge the cc gap a little. A blaster doesnt quite cut it in that equation though. It is a very old design and air cooled, but dont sell em short, with a few mods they can be quick. Now when you get into the 250r's and banshee's its 'game on'. My 250 is bored to 269cc's and I can beat piped 700r's all day. Now my 250 has a little more than just a pipe, but i bet with all my mods compared to the price of a pipe and a power commander for a rappy all my mods together cost less.

To answer the question though, yes I believe a blaster will have more acceleration than a warrior but the warrior would probably catch up

No boring does not give a significant power advantage compared to porting pipes cam carb. But if you get a big bore along with everything else that will make a big difference. Wait till last to get a big bore, it doesnt do any good to increase your combustion chamber if you cant get the air in or out of it. Plus big bores hurt your reliability if not done precisly. The added weight of a big piston doesnt match the way the motor is balanced and can cause motor killing vibrations. You should always gram out your pistons as close to stock weight as possible.

Yes you can still ride a 2 stroke just like people still ride 3 wheelers. The manufacturers just will not be able to meet emissions requirements so they can no longer produce them in a few years.

As far as a two stroke will always be faster than a 4 stroke.

Probably the blaster, it could depend on the rider

ok i don't own a 2 stroke but that wouldn't make to much scenes, ok i don't think that a 200 cc 2 stroke is as fast as a 4 stroke 400 wheres not that much of a speed/power difference...... no affence to the 2 strokers here but there a dieing enigin..... and will soon be outlawed.

Posted by: jetmotoracer

yea it might beat it in excellaration and i think they are outlawing the MAKE of 2 stroke enjins in 2012.... i think not to shure idk

Posted by: jetmotoracer

like i said im not shure i thinks its the same thing they did to 3 weelers... u cant MANUFACTURE them but u can own them...... i mean the street leagle ones im other words harley davidson cant make and sell them but some one who bought one before then can still ride them.... but i dont know im only 12

whell what mods does the yfs 215 have????

Posted by: jetmotoracer

i relly dont see what the big deal is about haveing ur enjine bored out i was told its relly not that big of a deal.... well that it doesnt make ENORMOUS diffrence tho... is this true?????

I know its probably a stupid question.. but who would win between these two?

My friend has a bone stock 350 Raptor and he wants to race my Blaster. My blaster has a performance air filter, and the engine was recently bored out to 215cc's i believe. (not positive on that one)

I heard somewhere that lower CC engines on 2 strokes are as powerful as higher CC 4 stroke engines (ex: 200cc 2 stroke = 400cc 4 stroke)

Is this completely retarded and not true, or is their some truth in this? Cuz i'd really like to smoke the kid's Raptor haha

I didnt think it made a lot of sense either. I mean.. maybe the acceleration between the two would be pretty closely related to eachother, but thats it.

And they better not outlaw them, i wub my Blaster =[

Posted by: walmart security

Ohh... ok. I thought they were outlawing running 2 stroke engines all together. That would suck if they were.

Posted by: walmart security

Alright.. but anyways.

350 raptor stock vs. Modified YFS 215. Who would win do you think?

Posted by: bigned1904

the modded blaster but it whould be close enough were a good rider chould make up the difference. and a 200 2-stroke does = about a 400 4-stroke because the way they work is a 2 stroke hits a power stroke 1 out of every 2 strokes and the 4 stroke hits only 1 out of every 4 strokes. thats the reason a 2 stroke will run out of gas faster than a 4 stroke.

Posted by: z400~man

hey mdebuck thats not true i have a z400 that would smoke a blaster no problem

Posted by: z400~man

what im saying is that there is no way that a 200 2 stroke will beat any 400 4 stroke unless its modded i dont think , im just as old as you

Posted by: z400~man

it depends on what kind of bike you are racing like a warrior and a blaster the blaster would win no doubt but the difference in the warriors and the raptor 350's are the carb settings
