The 3 mil (Vetos) will go in without having to shave the inner cases. A 4 mil will require machining of the cases. Personaly I wouldn't go 6 mil as the area's to be machined would be "extremely" -scarry- thin... I would guess that some crank kits come with the plate. I bought a Hot Rods 4 Mil and it didn't. Another thought is to do a "Long Rod motor" Standard stroke (stock lower crank balancers) with a 115MM Connecting Rod added. this requires a pretty thick plate, but no (lower) internal crank maching like the strokers, just minor relieving sometimes at the upper top area of both cases (where cylinder sits) for the rod to clear.. As far as a machinest, If you hand him the new crank. cases and a set of bearings, they should be able to machine the crank area's of the cases so the crank clears.

Ok what to choose for my Blaster.. I have the engine apart and in need of a crank.. I want to stroke it but i cant decide which crank to choose.... the +3 comes with a base plate and says adds 4hp... just throw it in and go... but why doesnt the 4mm come with a baseplate spacer also?? and it says you have to trench you case or something like that for it to fit... also do i have to do the same for the 6mm crank?? just trench it 2mm?? or do i get the 3mm baseplate and then have the case trenched for it to work.. Im leaning more toward the 6mm crank.. what do i tell my machinist?? just walk up there and say hey im putting in a 6mm stroker crank and i need it to fit?? b/c i will take him the case halves for him to do the work and i will install the crank... thanks for any help
