With all do respect, the LT50 is not a racer. what few mode can be done to them don't add up to 1/2 some other machines.
You want a DRR. It's the fastest mini out of the box (all he would need). And a good machine too. Plus mods for the future.

I bought him a 90 polaris a few months ago and he loves it. So i thought maybe we would try to race this comming year and found out he is to young for the 90cc. So i just bought a LT50, and man that thing is slow! I was wondering what kind of mods i can do to get him some speed and keeping him in the class? The rules i found are not too clear. Im guessing i can pipe it? I also seen a class for 51cc-70cc so could shave head and jet/pipe it?

The main thing im concerned about is the suspension travel. Is there any shocks or arms i can get to have more travel?

i must agree with LT80 my son raced against the drr and they are set up to race, they are fast and have an awesome susp., but made in china, so the part issue may be a problem, iam having the same issue with my sons honda trx 90, by the time i can get it to be competitive, i would probably be better off just to let him race my 250 trx, next year and just suffer through this one, because every race he gets more experience , whether in first place or last.
