My cousin's is basically stock, just piped, and he loves it in the trails. Beware the arm pump though.

I've done it, not my favorite trail ride but it is doable. The tighter/more technical the trail the more your life will suck. I would go as far as to say my brothers was a suicide machine on the trails, but it was far from stock too. Banshees do put a smile on your face though
