I was wondering where you go to get your AMA membership. Is there a website you can sign on to. And what is the cost. And do you have to have it to race.

I signed up at a sanctioned race.

There is always someone at a sanctioned event. AMA and ATVA do cost the same and the ATVA is a division of the AMA. The ATVA membership is accepted everywhere the AMA is and they give the benefits to the quads instead of bikes.

Well, if you really want to join the ama, you can do it at www.ama-cycle.org. But, they dont help quad guys that much, and I believe with an ATVA membership, the districts honor that for the quad guys. Their site is www.atvaonline.com. You do need one or the other to race in your district. I believe both are the same cost - $39 a year. It may have changed though, I've been out of the loop for about a year. If I am incorrect, someone please correct me. Hope this helps.
