My best is a 4.87 @ 63 mph. My bike uses the stock chassis except for lowering block in the rear.

Lowering the bike makes a big difference. Also tires and gearing play a big role. I had upped mine to a 15 tooth sprocket to take advantage of the bigger motor, but I had to go back to stock gearing to get my best et's at the drags. With the 15 tooth front, the best I ever ran was 5.13 sec. I dropped it back to the stock 14 and run the 4.87 and more in the 4.9's.

Good luck,

Daren

I ran a best of 6.49 ET @ 46mph with my 400EX. The first few races this season I will be Running the 400 and the when the Tecate 4 is done I will really have some fun. Also anyone here raced on the 1/4 Mile asphalt. I got a best of 15.9 @ 71 mph, but taht was with some wind on my back. This year the nearest Sand Dragway to me has closed so I will have to drive at least two hours to sand drag. But, on the brighter side IHRA has sanctioned atvdrag racing, so I will have an actual class to run in at the local dragway.

I used a wheelie bar before, but now I just lower the machine for racing. I will probley lenghten the swing arm though, but I'll see.

I've run a best of 6.255 at 47.29 mph on sand.
Keep in mind I'm 6'2 280lbs.
I've beat piped Shees & 440 CDales.
The best way to decide on gearing in drags is to gear it so you go through the finish line just before you need to up shift. You don't want to have to shift 50ft before the finish or go through the lights on the down side of the power band.
With stock gearing on my 02 Raptor I go through the lights in 3rd gear at 6700rpms, right in the meat of the power band.

so do u think a 13 Tooth should get me there a bit faster? should i change the rear? im going to drop a little weight from the bike too cause when i raced it last time i had all the skids on it, so i was thinking of taking that stuff off and the metal floor board type things
