Cheng Shin makes a strictly ice racing tire with hard knobbies. I just found out that they make a front tire as well. You can see them on James Lucky's webpage...I believe it is jlatv.com
As far as the snow tires go that's easy- you want something with big vertical lugs- wooly booger, Sur Track, Realators should all work great. Just remember the big key for deep snow- lean back, extend thumb and don't loose your momentum

I have heard that Pure sport's Bandits (AT) work good because they have a very flat and wide contact pach.
