The make your own reinforcing ring is an OK plan, but if you do it take some measurements for the holes that you are going to drill! I have seen some guys that made theirs by "eyeballing" and they look absolutely terrible. I am ashamed to be seen at the same starting line with them!

Where can I get a set for a 9 inch wheel that I weld on? OMF wants $25 each JL wants $33 each. Is there anywhere thats cheaper? PLEASE HELP. Thanks

I think I will just make my own. I dont have a problem doing that, I just thought somebody might be selling them for what they are actually worth. Thanks

Sorry, but those are the only two places that i have heard of also. You can probably get them through all of the shops, but they will just be the same ones OMF or JL. Now that i think about it, I think that Champion wheel sells reinforcing rings, but i don't know the #. Good Luck

try your local metal shop and see if they can plasma cut a ring out of aluminum. thats what i did for my first rims. i had them cut 4 pieces, 8in OD and 6in ID then i tig welded them in! cost nothing!
