My sons 70 did the same thing. I replaced the filter and cleaned the carb real good and it ran great after that, hopefully yours will be so simple.

I am racking my brain about this! My atv runs good at idle but when i go to give it gas it sputters and cuts off.. Now if i release the gas it runs good.. Is this a carb issue which i think it might be but not sure..

thanks for the reply! i went ahead and bought a brand new carb i should get it in about a week! that should solve my problem!
