You are using the 'puller' which is actually just a large diameter fine thread bolt which threads into the flywheel and against the crank right?
Never hit the flywheel itself with a hammer!

it shouldnt be any problem with a puller. Just remove the nut and washer install puller and remove flywheel. Its really easy with an impact wrench.

Yeah, the hammer trick definatly works. Once you break it loose it will come off easy.

So i found a really great task there the other day, trying to remove the flywheel. So far i have had no luck whatsoever, i tried prying and tapping and then i bought a puller and i still cant get it :S any suggestions, does anyone have their own way of doing this?

yeah ill try the wrench tomorrow, but i used the puller with a normal rachet and the puller keeps wanting to move off the crank, the part that screws into the crank keeps trying to slip off, and eventually it does. I had it really tight and still nothing, is that weird? shouldnt it come off easy with a puller?

alright. i tried tightening the puller really tight.. to the point where i thought it'd ruin the threads on the crank, then i tapped with a hammer, kept tightening and tapping, and still nothing :S maybe i should try heating it up or?

tighten the puller as much as you can without it slipping off. it shouldnt slip of anyways. but tighten it good and tap the puller and the flywheel with a small hammer. it should pop off
