yeah, i think ur probally right on that one, the nut on the right side of the crankshaft on both my 84 and 85 big red is left handed

You didn't specify what kind of trike it is so I can't be 100% sure but if you are talking about removing the bolt that holds the flywheel on it is usually right handed.

A general rule of thumb is that if it is on the left hand side of the crank (shifter side) it is regular right handed threads because the direction the engine rotates will tighten the bolt. If it is on the right hand side it is usually left handed because the engine rotation would cause it to loosen otherwise. This is generally the way it goes but not always.

i need to remove the bolt on the crankshaft to pull the rotor off. the honda book does not specify if it is left hand or right hand threads. anyone know? thanks
