Sounds like a 84'.......Check out the pic on "my page".....in the pic I have aftermarket handle bars & grips and have the headlight off the trike, but that is exact stock besides that. The vin sticker on the neck should tell you(behind the headlight).

If it looks like mine then you are down to an 83, or an 84. The 85's had a blue seat and blue fork boots W/ red plastic. The 86' had white plastic
Now the 83 carb should be ......model PD62A
And the 84 carb should be a model PD62B

I'll take that challenge!!!!!!But you will have to give me a week......engine is setting in about 40 pieces on the work bench right now.......10.25 to 1.........020 over Weisco piston. Head is now fully ported. Still searching for the High pro cam and stiffer valve springs, Damb shop delayed my gasket order two days so now I have to wait until tuesday to get it.

Just bought what the guy said is an 85 200x. Only it doesnt look like the 85s I've seen before. The frame and body is red. The mono shock is red, but the seat and grips are black. It is all original. Will the VIN# tell me what year it is? Thanks

Thrasher... From what I can see of your picture, it sure looks like mine is an 84. I found the VIN# but it looks like some kind of secret CIA code. How do I decifer what the letters and numbers mean?
