Can anyone tell me where to get an electric starter for this bike without going new.

look on ebay, there might not be one on there now, but surely there will in the future also while your on ebay just type in 225dx and you might find someone parting out a dx and just email em and ask if theyve got what you need also look into some other trikes and quads coz lots of em share parts like the 225dx is the same thing as a 225dr but the only difference is the dr has reverse and i also know theres a quad that is just a 4 wheeled version of the 225dx so look around

225dxrider66 is right, there is a four wheeled version of these trikes. they are called moto 4's. be careful though, because they made a 225 moto 4, a 250 moto 4, and a 350 moto 4. so be sure to type in yamaha 225 moto 4 if you want the correct parts. hope this helps.
