If its a 250r ATC Save the $10 you were gonna use to buy easy outs that may not work and just get a head off ebay, they are cheap. Any year from 85 to 89 is compatible

Then, later down the road get the plug out, put a heli coil in it and keep it for a spare or sell it on ebay and get your money back

I'm assuming this is the water-cooled 1985 250R?

It is pretty easy to get the head off, you don't have to take out the engine. Make sure you install a new head gasket though - a CR250 gasket from an 85' will do great - better compression than the stock. My advice - go for new head bolts and get the head polished while its out. TONS more bottom end - believe me!

Oh yeah - don't let your in-laws touch your toys - that's been my rule!

I had this happen to me on an old car that sat around for a few years. The socket part of the sparkplug broke off in the engine, so all you saw was the white ceramic in the sparkplug hole. What we did was drill out the center, screwed in an easy out, and the plug came right out when backed off. Easy out, man's best friend.

You're up $hit creek without a paddle lol

Sorry, I don't know how to take it out unless you would take it all apart.

If a potatoe works for light bulbs, maybe... j/k

Actually the part of the plug to put the socket on is broken off as well . what happened is my father in law put the plug in and cross threaded it. so instead of taking it out he torqued it on and the it broke so the threads are probably all messed up and the spark plug is snapped off in it. Thanks
