Its probally okay, heck old draggers use ford atf in their 2 strokes for good hookup, the reason some people dont run synthetic is because of clutch slippage.

I am sure this is an old question regarding oil. I was using Honda HP Trans oil. I have the Atc for a yr. now, which my kids love. Never had a single problem and its in great condition. I changed the oil this weekend since the hoiliday, all the kids are home. Well, dealer was closed, so I used Castrol 10-40 Synthetic Blend (motor oil). I am aware, the Honda stuff is full synthetic. Figured this would be fine as I have been told a lot of people dont even run synthetic at all. So, my question is this. This is fine right?? How often do I change the oil?
