Can anyone give me advice on rebuilding my starter motor. I replaced the brushes and the brush plate. When I supply power to the motor it hums but never turns. Is it shorted out, how can I tell if I have it put back together correctly. Also the manual says to check for discolorization on the commutator, what color is it supposed to be? Any tech help would very appreciated!!
