Why dont you save some money an just buy a good used LT80 or KFX 80.There actually faster an better to mod up when your kid is ready to move up instead of having to go to the stealership an get robbed for a bigger bike when your child outgrows it.Its all up to you I dont have kids but if I did I would go this route.good luck on your purchase what ever way you go

Get the Kymco. A great machine and mods are available.

Well , I know this much , the 07 kfx50/90 is built by Kymco. My 5 year old has the KFX50 and he loves it. Had no major issues yet. Very good bike in my opinion.

Yes , the LT 90 is made in house by Suzuki , but the KFX50/90 is made by Kymco starting in 2007. Kawasaki 50/90 was made by Suzuki prior to 2007.

I am looking to purchase a 90 for my 7 year old son, and have settled on the LT90 and KFX90. The LT90 is about $300 more and am wondering if there is any real difference between the two?? The KFX90 has had pretty good reviews, but I havn't seen any for the LT90.

Any suggestions?

I was initially looking at a 50, but as we will be riding here in Colorado, the power is already way down, plus I have the throttle limiter. Looks the the 50/90 share the same chassis (or at least very similar in size) on both, with the engine/tires being the main difference.

thanks

Jeff

I was under the impression that the LT90 was made inhouse by Suzuki. If the KFX90 is made by kymco, I am tempted by them, however, I have not been able to find one locally to look at.

I was thinking about the 80 models, but decided in favor of the 4stroke models instead.

Looks like I should look at the Kymco if they are the same as the KFX90's.
