No chain adjustment.
I make a nice adjuster.
Beginner mods:: remove 2 of the 6 rollers in the front clutch and shave the head .030.

If you don't want to spring for the adjuster, a larger front sprocket would tighten the chain a little and add some top end speed as well. Lots of people use an 11 tooth sprocket from a yamaha blaster. YMMV

I took a chain roller that would be used for a motorcycle and drilled a hole in the plate and used that for some extra tension. I can send you some pics if you want. its super easy. You may be able to see it from this post " some other lt80 pics "

I just got a '99 LT80 for the boy and it runs nice. However the chain is REALLY loose and I couldnt find and adjustment on it. The sprockets and chain look to be in good shape. We have an LT50 also and through advise given on this page found all of the restictors and tricks to make it go alot faster than stock. So what is the hot set up for the 80? Not race mods just cheap and dirty stuff. I already looked for the exhaust restictor and it has been removed.
Thanks

No adjustment?!?! Then this chain must really be stretched. I could probably take a link out. Replace sprockets and chain? You make a nice adjuster LT80. That is something you sell I assume? Is it better than replacing chain and sprockets?
Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the tips fellas. I like the sprocket idea because I am having a tough time finding 19" tires other than the stock ones and there seem to be alot of the 18". That sprocket would help offset the difference in size. The roller might still be necessary though too. There is alot of slop.
