Thanks,
It's a 4 stroke. I already know about the restrictors. I was hoping there might be a pipe mod or carb mod, ignition? Anything.

I don't know who it's made by. It's sold as an Artic Cat 90. How would I find out?

When you bought your DVX 50, It should of came with a guide to removing the restrictors. So check and see if you have one in the carb, Also Speedwerx carries performance parts for Artic Cats.

Thanks, GB

Is that a two stroke or 4 stroke model?..The earlier 2 stroke cats had a few restrictors. One in the variator to prevent full shifting of the trans and a huge rear sprocket to limit speed.I'm not sure but I think a rev limiter as well....If its a two stroke the skies the limit on mods.Check out WRH racing,Hetricks, koolkidz, team sims racing there are lots of places to get parts for the two stroke.

I have the 07 KFX90 also made by Kymco, I have the Powroll 120cc big bore kit with Powroll camshaft, Two Bros racing exhaust, JB Racing makes A-arms +2, Rath and AC make nerfs and bumpers, I would love to find a CDI that would work with this, anyone know of any??? The Kawi has a 2mm larger carb than the Kymco. Does the 125cc head fit? Do you need a longer cam chain? does the exhaust port on the 125 head match the one from the 90?

I have the '05 DVX 50 and it has the same frame as the 90. You know about the variatior restrictor, which is the easiest mod, and I think you can also get an aftermarket unrestricted CDI box for it (but apparently not for my 50, unfortunately), for added top end, since there is an electronic rev limiter contained in the CDI. (You will be able to tell when you try to run it full throttle.)

My 50 had gobs of low-end power (pulled my 270 lbs. up a fairly steep hill with the stock little 16" turf tires), so you should be laughing with the 90.

Also for top end and FABULOUS traction, I would put on a set of 22" Mudlite rear tires on like I did (with 19" duros on the front), and then add wheel spacers to reduce the likelihood of tipping (since these things have a very small turning radius). However, you might have to get new 4 X 110 rims - the wheel spacers on my AC DVX 50 did not fit (due to the shoulder of the little 7" stock rim being too close to the stud holes). I myself just bought some big honking 10" ITP rims for the rear, so I could get the big tires. I'll be posting pictures later - the tires look amazing, and my daughter can get through almost the same mudholes with those tires as I can with my 4-wheel drive Outlander Max!

By the way, GB, if you find anyone who can also help out with carb and/or CDI mods for my AC 50, let me know, OK? The 50 4-stroke was new in '06 (and has since been discontinued!), and so no one seems to have enhanced performance parts for them yet.

Thanks, GB, I'll check out Speedwerx.

The manual did not tell me how to remove the restrictor, nor did the dealer. (Bass Pro - and they said it was because they wanted to avoid liability.)

I found out by calling Arctic Cat , and we took the restrictor out ourselves. The only problem is, the metal starter gear housing rattles when you make a turn in one direction (can't remember which), and I couldn't figure out why. (The guy at Bass Pro said it was because a spring was missing, but couldn't say for sure.) Did you remove yours yet, and was there a metalic rattling sound after?

Also, is yours an '06 or an '07?
