Sounds like it sat for a while. The gas may be bad. Try spraying starting fluid into the intake to see if it fires. If not then its notm a fuel problem. The valves may need to be adjusted.

Damn im good. LOL!

HULA,
Like 2or4 said it sounds like a carb problem or clogged fuel tank, fuel line. These quads get alot of debris from the tank and all it takes is 1 peice to clog a jet. Take the carb apart and clean all teh jets, empty tank, clean lines, put fresh fuel.

Scooter,

Thanks! I work in West Chester but live in Lancaster. We do have some land to ride local but only about 1.5-2 hrs away to ride on thousands of acres.

A. Change Gas
B. Change Plug
C. Charge Battery 100%

I'm having the same problem with my 100CC Chinese Maxfine quad. When my buddy squirts carb cleaner into
the carb it will fire up but then dies when he stops. You should try that. Regarding the carb needing cleaning
already, even though it's a new quad, unfortunately you may need to that. Please let me know if you get it going
as I'll attempt whatever may work

Hi 2manytoys, any suggestions for my Maxfine 100. It runs great as long as your squirting carb cleaner into the
intake but dies as soon as you stop.

Can anyone give me some pointers on how to start this ATV? I have had it about a year and it ran good this past Spring. It has not been ridden all summer and now that the weather is getting nice in TX I can't seem to get it started now. I've checked for spark and am getting a good solid one. I also have the smell of fuel on the spark plug (and have cleaned it frequently) so I believe my fuel supply is okay. The gap has been checked and is okay. The poorly written (broken English) users manual tells you to pull the choke out all the way when the engine is cold. I have tried starting with full choke, half choke, no choke and nothing..it just keeps cranking (I have had to repeatedly charge the battery and I'm afraid of ruining it). I've tried "giving her some juice" while it's cranking but that just seems to flood it. Since I'm getting spark, I'm thinking it is not my cuttoff switch circuitry. I thought I read on a separate post that someone suggested slowly pulling out the choke while it is cranking. I've tried that and it won't even sputter!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Thank you. I recently put new gas in it so the fuel should be okay. I will try starter fluid. With this new of an ATV, it wouldn't be that the carb needs to be cleaned already, would it? Hopefully the starter fluid will work.

I finally got it started..thanks to a combination of starter fluid and carb cleaner. Once it began to run, a lot of white smoke out the back so I'm assuming the cause was a combination of a dirty carb and sitting too long without being started. Thanks for all of your help.

I'm just glad it wasn't the valves needing adjusting.
Thanks again for the suggestions.

By the way, "too many toys" - nice toys! I looked at your picture page and you have some nice ATVs along with what looks like some nice land to ride on. You're about 40 or so miles away from my brother who lives in West Chester.

Well, if it runs on starting fluid, then you have one or more of the following:

Clogged fuel filter - remove and replace
Clogged petcock- drop tank and empty, then remove and clean petcock
stuck float needle and seat
clogged pilot jet
clogged main jet-Remove carb., carefully disassemble, clean every oriface(hole) you can find, clean them all again just to be sure, carefully reassemble, then replace and reconnect, you should need to make some minor adjustments, but then you are on your way.
