Welcome to the forums. BR>The wiring is all chopped up or could this be a bad stator?
FYI: wiring from 87-1999 will work. In 2000 they changed some parts.
You could get the pull start and not worry about charging.

Hi, i have buy a Lt 80 1987 in good condition, but the guy traficated the charge wiring, the atv start and run but dont charge.
I need all the electrical wiring for, if some have to buy : E-mail me ???

He cut the wiring and remove the control box. The stator is there.
And you sure 87 to 99 fit !!
