there is a post on this forum called "04-05 Yamaha Raptor 50" good reading for those looking
at Raptor 50 mods. As far as the Raptor80Racing CDI goes, Al does say that his has no limit, however the price
is double+ procomm and big guns and no limit means that inexperienced riders can over rev. motors
and cause damage (procomm and big guns raises the limit but they don't do away with it). I have added some carb.
mods, throttle mods, procomm CDI and tires (holeshot) to my sons 50 and he has enjoyed his for the past year. It has been very reliable and we have ridden trails, sand and mud.

I am new to this forum. I also bought a raptor 50 only to be disappointed when I got home. my only glimpse of hope have been the post on this forum. Has anybody used this $300 dc cdi that Al at raptor80racing is selling. He says that is much better than the other cdi's out there because of a higher rev limiter and other features. I am going to meet up with Al in the next few days and I am just curious if this investment is worth it since it is so much more than the others out there.
