another sunl bites the dust, looks like maybe a valve broke and the piston push it out the head, not worth buying parts for

if it still runs, then its a cooling fin at the exhaust port broke off , take off the exhaust pipe and see iif the hole goes from exhaust thru the hole i agree with laparr, just fill it with jb weld, if thats the case.

rsplash40,

Looks like your going to need a new head. Call Raceway they will set you up. Or you could try your dealer.

Good Luck.

If it still runs, and it hasnt caused any engine damage that you are aware of, see about sticking some JB weld on it for a SHORT term fix. Ride it around a bit, and if everything works out with it. You can get the JB weld removed, and try going to a weld shop and filling in the hole and hope no liquid gets inside the case area. Thats what I would do for a Cheap fix for a Cheap quad.

Ok, my kids sunl90 broke the two tubes everyone else seems to be breaking. Sometime between when I rolled it in the garage to fix, to the time it rolled out this hole appeared in the head of the engine:

Hole in engine.

Anyone else had this happen? I was working on the other end of the quad, and its a tight spot to get anything into to hit that area with. Especially inbetween the fins.

Any suggestions how to fix?

I hadn't thought about the valve...however, it does run... found the hole while it was running..couldnt figure out why it was so loud.... my dealer is long gone.
