I can only think of two reasons: 1. they don't want young riders driving at night. 2. it cost more money to mfg.

I was told when we bought our Eton Viper that the headlights are not allowed on mini quads in the States...In the case of our Viper the headlights were fully functional but on later models or models shipped to the States they had a chrome type sticker over top of the headlight lense and sometimes even the actual light bulb and wire assembly was removed altogether.....I'm sure it has to do with law suits and children riding in the dark...I really like our vipers headlights even in the daytime when were riding a dusty trail.I think they should come on all the little atvs.

Can buy their complete light (with upgraded stator) or just the HD stator ( http://www.rickystator.com/pages/Honda_TRX90_stator.html ) and buy your own light assemblies.
What ever works best for you....

My 8 year old son wants lights on his TRX 90. I was told that the stator wouldn't handle the load the lights would put on the system. My son's is an 06 with the electric start so I'm wondering if the stator has a little more output than the older pull start 90s and maybe could handle something like a single 35 watt light up front and a small tail light but not necessarily a brake light.
Maybe someone with more knowledge on these fine machines will know.

look up raptor80racing.com. they have HID light kits that are made specifically for low output stators but deliver lots of light. I have also seen this kit online offered from http://www.trailtech.net/hid_frame_mounted_light_kits.htm as well as other sites.

I am trying to find a brake light and head light for my son's TRX90 but can't find any mods for it. Anybody have any suggestions as to where to go to get these mods, or any suggestions on how to set up lights?
