Welcome to the ATV Connection forums.BR>Modding the stock pipe is a waste of time and will not get you even close to doing what you want.
Removing 2 of the 6 front clutch rollers and shaving the head .030 will get you close.
Taking the bolt out of the stock pipe will get you 1/2hp. BR>

Does anyone have any info on modifying a stock muffler (besides removing the restricter)on a lt80 for better flow and better low end performance?

Thanks for the advice! i guess i should have included some sort of a baseline of what i am working with and what my kid is going to do with the bike. has a stock ported, bored 2 sizes over cly with wiesco piston, modified air box-uni filter, lightened clutch shoes, stock pipe-looks tired-poss part clogged a bit, stock carb-slightly fattened jetts. we do a lot of trail riding and i want to make the bike as tourque as poss for hills. not at all concerned with top end speed. thanks alot for your help. john
