Hey Larry I have a few things you could try. I am no expert on these quads by any means. I have had a no spark starting issue with my VX-80, and here are a few things to check.

Ensure you have Full charge on the Battery
Check batter terminal connections
Check fuse on positive lead connecting to battery
Replace factory spark plug with a good one (NGK) Also if your spark plug is really black and even wet with fuel you probably have a Carb issue that needs to be addressed either by adjusting the Carb, and or Cleaning the Carb.

Check the kill switch - (This is what I found on my VX-80.) Ensure the lever on the kill switch is set to RUN then push in on it. You should hear a small click. Then press the starter. I am not sure if this is a safety setting or a factory defect, but it seems to work.

To test this use a light tester. Unplug the boot from the spark plug place the probe from the light tester in the boot. Try the starter and see if the tester flashes. If it does not flash try pressing the RUN button and then try the start switch.

Again I am no expert, but I try and troubleshoot the problem myself with the help I find on this forum. There are a lot of knowledgable that use these forums.

Hopefully you can identify and fix your spark problem.
