Spend a little more money and get the gell type. I hate those acid batteries. When mine went out I had to add my own acid and I refuse to ever have to do tha again. What a pain and your never sure you got it just right. Gell all the way.

Sp00ky,
Try your local auto parts store or motorcycle shop even Walmart carries the battery you are looking for.

When the battery began to fail on my daughter's sunl 70, I took it to walmart and found a replacement. I believe it had the designation "4LBS" on the box. It was the same length and width as the factory battery but it was a little shorter - works fine.

Sir, I bought a VX-80 3 months ago and mine did the same thing. I went several places trying to find one to no avail. The local dealer said that the batteries for the Redcat and Kazuma are junk. Also, once you find a battery, pad it and protect it from the box. It is exposed and will bounce around if not padded. Let me know when you find one. I tried Wal-mart...all 20, tried several auto parts stores, NAPA too, tried...no luck. I'm not going order one from the factory, nor use my warranty for a new junk battery.

Sir,
I'm going to measure at work today. Mine is located in the back of my toy hauler park elsewhere. I will get the measurements...I think that is what we'll have to do. Buy another quality one with close measurements. SEADAWG

Sir,
Battery is 4 high, 5 3/4 long and nearly 3 inches wide. They have them on www.motorcyclebatteries.com. Good luck.

SpOOky,
Good to hear it works...finding a perfect fit is hard. The only one I have found is from the company...I'm so reluctant to trade my bad battery for a new...another bad battery and go through this all again. It is still under warranty...I'll passed on a free one. My dealer said that they were of poor quality.
How is your VX-200? SEADAWG

I am looking for a replacement battery for a Redcat VX80. The one that came with it is not holding a charge.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

I tried that site, but I was not sure on the exact make and model. Since Redcat is not listed on that site.

Thanks for all your input. Yes I was able to find a replacement battery locally.
I went to Interstate Batteries near my home, and I was able to find a 12 volt 10 ah battery.
It is not as long as the previous battery, and it is taller. It is was a tight fit into the mounting bracket. I wrapped the battery in foam tape weather stripping to cushion it.
It is sealed type battery where you add the acid yourself initially, but it seems to be of a better quality battery than the ones shipped with the Quads.
