Yes, but it could cause the engine to run a little lean. Try it and see.

Unless it falls on it's face, you'd probably be alright. You could always watch the plug and rejet if necessary.

Hi guys , I'm new to the forum here. I have done some reading and what a great site and forum, lots of good info.I have a question for you. My sons 70 Viper wasn't running very good and I found where a few guys were talking about the spark arrester was plugged and sure enough that was my problem. The question is. Can you run with out the spark arrestor in? Can I just leave it out? Thanks in advance for any help. Tom

Thanks for your input. Iguess if no one runs with out them I'll clean it and put it back in. Dont want to run it too lean. Thanks again Tom
