Probably time to check the compression if you haven't already done it. BUT, I can certainly vouch that a keihin 20mm and K&N is an excellent upgrade. Probably the best mod I've made. Easy starts and easy to tune.

Anyone else have carb issues with theirs? I thought I had read before about the elcetric choke being a problem. I wonder if I can put a carb on it from a newer predator 90. My bike will not rev up at ll when it is cold out no matter if I let it warm up or not. It will acutally just die like the choke is stuck on.

Any idea where I could find one?

I own a 2001 scrambler 90 and have had nothing but problems. First rebuilt top end with new piston and rings. Replaced Ing coil, new plug, new wire, newcap. i just started to work on it now from fall. It ran good all last summer till my niece drowned it in water. I can tell you one thing these machines are real sensitive to cold weather. take the carb off and clean real good. Theres more then one area where these carbs can be a real pain. Most people dont take the carb completly apart. Iam talking taking the needle jet out and everything. Right now Iam in a fix, I decided to remove the side cover to clean the kick start gears , well I took the C ring off the side case and when I pulled the cover off to expose the belt and gear to clean the Kick start the spring decided it wanted to pop off. What a serious pain now.......Back to the carb thing, yes the choke can play havek also. I ran mine at times with it totaly disconnected. Good luck..
