Fast 350 I have a crank that I believe will work on the pro of your buddys bike that broke. I would give him if he wanted to pay for shipping.
I am currently modifying 1 of them for CC racing. Theres alot more power to be had in those bikes too with some mods, and a gussett kit would be one of the first thing I would do as well as a better swingarm/ suspension. In my opinion they are gonna be a good bike. I'd buy one from somewhere else and mod it your self you'll save money and get the right stuff on the bike from the start. $275-300 for a pipe, $150 for porting, $50- $100 for clutching, $100-$125 for a carb, and spend the rest on nerfs, shocks, swingarm and gussets you'll have the flaws fixed. All race bikes break and the cobra too.

Does anyone have any experiance or even know of the Pro MX 90R being sold by eastside motorsports out of the Phoenix area? Looking at the spec sheet it looks like it could have potential to be a good quad. Having a chinese Honda I am leary though. Anyone know this quad?
Posted by: Familyofthedirt
No. I ended up getting an 04 Predator 90 from a friend for $1800.00. I couldn't pass it up. Bike has pipe from trinity, 20 mm race carb w/ k&n filter and clutch work from a local clutch wiz that has worked through many of the clutch set ups taht work best in our local circut.
In pics the Pro MX sure looks nice though.

Howz the cobra 70?! As sick as it seems? I would love to put my girl on one but we just don't have the talent in our area/ state to justify putting her on a rocket like that. What kind of results have you gotten with that bike and what was your kids competition?
Posted by: Familyofthedirt
mxDad, do you have any idea where any used Cobra 70s are? Here on the west coast they seem to be scarce and I can't find a used one anywhere.
Posted by: kasea90
mx dad ,if your racing the pro 90 then your daughter has complaints about it , my son races one and bends or brakes somthing everytime he rides it, "8 yearsold" this quad will not last long ,just look at it closely, you'll see where the weak spots are, good luck.
Posted by: kasea90
mx dad have you seen the new extreme 125 four stroker for the 90 class? wrhracing.net
Posted by: kasea90
mx dad, eastside said they were going to have ster stems made and nurfs, but for now yes cut the ster stem stops 3/16 each side, no more that works, and locate the rear shock forward on the frame to lower and soften the rear.has you axle nut came loose yeat ? red locktite.
Posted by: kasea90
mx dad, if you got the pipe that the end looks like carbon fiber that pipe dont work , get a trinnity or hetricks, when we first got the quad i called eastside and said i dont like the power band on this pipe they said i dont know what im talking about ,trust me i do, well they sent me a new pipe and whalla now it runs, played with jetting ,i like to run are quads alittle rick, and little clutch work , are first race, heat 1st main 1stbut just in pactices hes bent the swingarm ,axle, tore up the tranny gears,i'll be happy if it last two seasons then shifter quad when hes 9 or 10, who knows what will be around in two years
Posted by: kasea90
mx dad , if the new pipe you ordered has a short fat muffler "stinger" , thats the pipe they sent us ,its more of a low to mid range pipe ,here in washington we race alot of indoor so the tracks are short and lots of corners, jumps ect,so we like torquey pipes, you want torque ,you can always use gearing to compensate, the rear shock i welded a cross brace "like the one the shock mounts to now", then two flat stock 1 1/2x 3/16 joining to two with a hole and a nut welded to it and when you get that new pipe and it fits alittle loose use some header tape "heat tape" at joins, expansion chambers work off of sonic energy palses you dont want it loose and vibrating every little bit helps
Posted by: kasea90
fast350 dido, and yes gregs an ass, "eastside" when we got ares and my neighor got one too , his wouldnt go at all ,it would start but the clutch wouldnt ingage, and wouldnt run right, are wouldnt run right had wrong pipe "but greg sent us new pipes and clutch parts and i got them screaming then my son bent the swingarm then he bent the axle then he broke the tranny gears and all the other mods iv done to get it where its at now, but now that iv gone threw everything its been great son is flying on it , son has won 5 series on a kasea and 1 of witch is on the aasco and hes getting faster every race so we're pleased with the aasco90 ,
Posted by: kasea90
diggin, just guset the stock swingarm ,I wouldnt go longer do to the fact the quad is long enough allready,I relocated the shock forward on the frame and im using a 11 inch fox float "air shox" its used for xr 50s so far its working well ,the stock shock works if you move it forward it softens and lowers the rear, hey its just like anything else fix it when it needs fixin the quads ok, I also have taken about 40 pounds out of this quad ,wiring the metal plates under the nurfs replaced with aluminum ,my neighbor and i are making billet grab bars for ares it anybody wants one let me know,
Posted by: kasea90
mx dad we're using 20-30 its working good for us what are you using? what kind of tracks are you racing?
Posted by: kasea90
we're using 92 pump gas and running main jet alittle fat and the needle lean, dont want it loading up waiting, running mix at 38 to 1 , im old school on oil it worked when i was a kid and still works good nowI'll let you all know when we make the grab bars they will be trick for sure my neighor is a dam good machinist .

HEy seeing if you got and aasco pro and what ya thought of it I did purchase one for my daughter and am very pleased just curious.
Posted by: MXdad789
The cobra is without a doubt unreal it makes and average rider good. My daughter loves it she took first place overall here and it was very convincing. There is not a whole lot of competition here in that class. Thats why be bought the aasco now she runs it in the 90 class and the cobra in the 70 class. Nationaly. she only raced 2 races on it and took 4 and 6. To me the aasco was well worth it but to her its not to impressive. She wants the 90 kit for the cobra its alot smaller and handling is alot easier for her. Id say you did real good on the predator there is quite a few of those here as well as honda's, kymcos, and a couple dinlis. Have you had to play with the clutch on that yet. Good luck with it.
Posted by: MXdad789
Yes I agree there are some problems but the price reflects that hopefully for the money you should understand. It was worth the money for a transiton quad to the 90 class my only regret is the 90 kit for the cobra wasnt out when we ordered her aasco. No matter what the bike or cost put in one its not a cobra.
Posted by: MXdad789
Good looking quad do you know of a price for it. I have only seen extreme's in mild form and not impressed with the motor at all. did they do any changes to the bottom end of the motor. Would like to find out more about those could be worth a try if priced right. Also do you know if there is any aftermarket steering stems for the aasco or do you have to cut for the turning radius. Thanks for the info.
Posted by: MXdad789
pro mx 90r yes the loc tite is the answer thats due to both being rights and thanks for the cutting info. How did you relocate the shock by fabricating or did you order a piece thanks for the info hows the plug ive been playing with the mixture and a plug a ride ive been going through. have you tried the pipe there selling for those and if so any help from factory
Posted by: MXdad789
Pro Mx 90 thanks for your help the cobra is wrench free and dominate this is my first go around with anything else other than a suzuki 50 for my daughter. The aasco she has only ran once and used it at our practice track. Were trying to adjust to the size difference with the seat height and the weight. What did you have to do for that rear shock and also eastside was trying to sell me a pipe for the aasco for $100 have you heard of it. I ordered it because it was so cheap and thats been 2 months ago. I call and its always just been shipped. Does it do any perfomance difference.
Posted by: MXdad789
Hello wondering how the aasco has been doing for you. All the tips ya gave were helpful and has made a difference do you know if steering stems have come avaliable or better off going to hetrickfor that.Any other tips or advise would be helpful. Eastside doesnt seem to be to helpful with much im new to the whole cvt andsprings for this and drilling shoes. The pipe i recieved was a stinger and did do alot more for the machine. i also cut the steering stem to help with the turning and the loctite. thanks again youve done more than eastside. Should have bought from you lol.

Familyofthedirt I know what ya mean they are hard to find here to but a buddy of mine has a 05 that i he his gonna get rid of because his boy is riding bikes now and doesnt wnat to race their quad. It is in excellent shape and had all the proper maintence done to it. If your interested id find out what he wants for it and put you 2 in touch.

I own broke down aasco this bike it is not what it is said to be. The pipe is not what it is suppose to be the rollers are junk the clutch set up is junk nothing is what greg says it isMy daughters cobra has had 2 years on it with no problems if only the 90 kit would have been avaliable when we bought this piece of junk. I ordered everything and i mean everything from hetrick today to not have any aasco/Apex parts from pipe to clutch to head and tranny crank i may now feel better 2 races from and eight year old girl and trashed it what a machine all owners of these must be proud. No mods will make this in a cobras class period i have them both.

1888 434 2887 digginfool i own the aasco that lost its crank on out this machine has lots of problems YOur biggest problem will be believing West coast quads about anything on these. Get a hold of Quad central motorsports 1-888-434-2887 T;hey haved a plus 1 swing arm for 350 and a 12.5 shock for the rear for $550 They are also very knowledgeable and can help ;you with anything. The are dealers for apex (aasco pro shark Mx ) Performance wise once you work out the problems i recomened the 28mm carb differnt reeds and for sure change the gearing. Also change the filter to a dual stage uni.

kasea 90 we are running a 19-28 with snow hogs and when its a little sloppy were running a 19-33 with turf tamers. Our tracks are big but technical a couple spots where they can be opened up but not much. I would be interested in one of those grab bars what are you wanting out of them. Let me know.
Posted by: MXdad789
digginfool i have been running 101 octane. Im not sure about the additives but i dont see why it would hurt anything. Ive also just been running castor people say theres plus and minus to either but ive never seen it and never ran synthetic in anything. Ive raced my daughter races and we have a drag car never had anything with synthetic in it

MY best friend just had the entire cvt basically explode and that scum company eastside motorsports told him sorry but we cant help you in any way. That is real customer appriciation. The machine has been in four moto's and it totally destroyed the belt and the outter sheave and also wrecked the spline on the crank shaft. He is going to have to buy a new crank and entire cvt assembly. I ONLY HAVE ONE WORD OF ADVICE STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT EXCUSE FOR A RACE QUAD COMPANY. I WOULD HATE TO SEE THEIR TRACKSIDE SUPPORT. IT PROBABLY CONSIST OF A FEW BOLTS AND A COUPLE OF NUTS!! THEY TOLD HIM THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IF THEY HAD THE PARTS HE NEEDS. THEY ARE PROBABLY ON BACK ORDER IS WHAT THEY TOLD HIM. SEEM ODD THAT A REAL RACE QUAD COMPANY LIKE HETRICK HAS EVERYTHING HE NEEDS.
Posted by: fast350
that would be great but i would want to give you something for the crank. what mm is the crank you have and how much would you want ot sell it for. is the crank a stock part or a aftermarket crank. that for the reply ill call to you soon. and thanks again. i was told to move the shock mount to lower the height and the stiffness of the shock but they didnt say exactly how i know you have to do it at the top mount but what steps do i take. thanks again!!!
BY THE WAY COBRA RULES ALL MINI'S IN MY EYES. WE ARE RACING THE KING NOW AND IT DOMINAATES THE SENIOR CLASS AND LAST YEAR WE RAN THE COBRA PW3 OIL INJECTED AND THEY WERE SMASHING ALL CONTENDERS. OUR TRX 90 IS BY FAR THE MOST RELIABLE MACHINE EVER BUILT FOR THE 90 CLASS AND A STRONG RUNNER WITH THE ICR 125 KIT. DUAL A-ARM ARE BEST AFTERMARKET UPGRADE YOU COULD INVEST IN THEY MAKE HE LANDING ALOT MORE CONTROLLED. MY BUDDY'S COBRA 70 ECT WILL SMASH ANYTHING IT RUNS AGAINST INCLUDING THE TRX 125 KIT. CANT GO WRONG WITH THE COBRA IF YOU GOT THE MONEY.

Where the heck were you guys when I was asking about this machine? Kasea90, I know we talked a little but I don't recall you mentioning this thread. I've got the machine now so I guess it is what it is. Since it's in pieces, I would just as soon make the mods I need to make before turning the boy loose on it. Everybody here seems to be in agreement regarding the swingarm; stock swingarm is too soft. Should I go ahead and buy an aftermarket and if so, are you guys running stock length or longer? What about a gusset kit? Whose are you using? Anybody else have a problem with the cvt? Fast350, did the cvt come apart due to something coming loose? Had your friend been inside changing springs, rollers or anything or did this happen straight from the factory? I'll take my chance on the axle for now. I'm sure somebody makes an aftermarket. Scott at westcoast quad (formerly eastside) said Lonestar has an axle now and TCS has shocks to fit. One last question: Mine showed up with a warning sticker saying 100 octane minimum. What are you guys running in the bike? Can you boost the 91 pump gas to get it up there or am I stuck buying racing fuel? That would have been nice to know before hand. Dang, the way it looks now I should have gone ahead and bought a Cobra with the cvt kit. Probably been cheaper in the long run.
Posted by: digginfool
Are you guys running castor or synthetic? What ratio? Also, for the MX 90, the sticker says minimum 100 octane. Am I stuck driving 30 miles to buy racing fuel or are there additives that will raise 91 pump gas to 100 octane? Thanks.

What Jets are you running on your Aasco with that diffrent intake it is so diffrent than what we ran on our Predator
