A guy brought one in the shop today to see how to change the oil ( The dealer did not know how). Why would any one build a quad that when you down shift it will go straight into reverse there is no safety to stop that from happening. The pegs and so called floor boards are all bent up from a 60lb. kid. The chain rides right on the swing arm pivot It looks to have a 1/16" peace of round plastic to keep it from eating through the swing arm housing. I have not seen anything this poopy since the bobcat 50. The dealer gave him a web site and told him if he needs parts he can go there to get them. So if you are thinking about one don't!!

You are right!!!! They are the biggest piles of crap around!! My son absolutely destroyed his in a matter of a few months.
Getting parts is a nightmare also! No one knew which part goes with which bike and then they wouldn't ship them to you.
i am so happy we got him a pred!!!!!!

Yesterday, we broke our 4th intake joint since Xmas morning all riding on level grass. All are breaking right at the base across the bolts. If anyone wants a used Meerkat 50 please send'm my contact info. These Meerkat 50's are one step below junk. They have zero reliability. My seven yr old does not have 5 miles of ride distance on this thing. I've never seen cast iron intakes break by just putting around the yard. I should have taken the $700 that I saved for this xmas present and put a down payment on a Honda!
Beware!!
