yeah, I had the same ??? when I did mine a few weeks ago. From what I hear the 90 will pick up some power after changing this fluid cause of the lower viscosity

There was a gray colored grease in both of my boys' Preds. I switched to BelRay 90 gear oil because it is red and I can see it in the sight window. I change the fluid everyother race though, so I don't think I really even need the the sight glass.

Drained Trans fluid, smells like gear oil. Service manual says use synthetic ... Part # in svc. manual invalid. Talked to mech. at dealer he said they went through the same thing. He said Polaris said to change to their synthetic trans fluid. Same thing I am using in the Sportsman and Trailboss, nice 'cause I already have it. I buy it a gallon at a time. Syn. trans fluid is purple and kinda thin, wonder why they had gear oil in it???
