If the paddle height is the same as the other sizes then it might be too much for a mini. I have the gliders for the LT80 and they work great.

I'd be kinda leery of the 1 1/8'' paddles on a mini. The guys at ITP should know what they are doing though. I really like the gliders myself, super light and just the right amount of paddle.

I've picked up a set of those geckos and they were heavier (just the tire) than both the tire and rim of a glider with .125 rims.

And all those problems cause them to trench like a ditch digger!!! We spend more time pulling my son out of trenches than riding some days

ITP's site claims they are making the SandStars in sizes for the minis "New mini-quad sizes for &39;04! Front: 19x6-10; Rear: 18x9.50-8" ITP Anybody tried them yet? I was just about to get another set of Gliders when I saw this on ITP's site. I love them on my Scrambler, but don't know how they'll be for the Eton 90.

Just saw them tonight (Monday). Haven't had a chance to call any of the parts places to see if they have them or can get them. I'll tell you this, their phones will be ringing in the morning.lol

I have Gliders on the LT80 and I am very pleased with them. I have Geckos on the Eton and think they suck. So the"boss" gave me permission to purchase new tires for the Eton.I was going to get another set of Gliders until I found out ITP has the SandStars in the small size. Now I've got a decision to make. Hmmmmmm.

Some updates here. First off after double checking I have Gliders on the LT80, so I changed my above posts to reflect that. Next, ITP has not started making the mini stars yet and they have no info on how well they work. They did inform me that the paddles will be the same height as the bigger version. It will be at least a month before they start production. Guess I'll be getting a new set of Gliders, which is just fine by me. They have more than proved themselves.

I ordred a pair of Gliders today. I've had a little experience with ITP saying they'll be making product in a month. About six monthes later they actually went into production.

While looking for SandStars in catalogs I did come across a new manufacturer in the Dennis Kirk catalog. They are offering many of the popular styles in smaller sizes. Good prices too. I would love to try some out, but I don't feel like being a guinea pig for $100 a pair at a whack. new Dennis kirk tires by AMS

It was nice having the money while it lasted.lol Yeah, I got them through Rockymountain. The price went down a few bucks from the catalog price even. I need a cheaper hobby. lol

They are at best a general purpose sande tire. They are better than no paddles at all. They have several flaws, at least in the small size.
1. They are heavy
2. They are very stiff and do not flex. Regarless of how much you air them down the contact patch remains
the same so you can't increase their flotation.
3. The paddle surface does not extend the the whole width of the tire. They lack the traction of tires that have a
full width paddle. It is made even worse by the fact they are not flexible.

who'd ya order from ? rockymountain? I still haven't ordered mine yet, but will be making a huge order soon, as i'd like a set of 4 extra rims and tires for the Raptor. Jr keeps gettin high-centered on the Raptor 80, so I was thinking of getting 8" rim, + 20" Cheng Shin knobbys. We'll still get a pair of paddles for next year too, for both this one and the LT80.

That sucks to hear the gecko's suck because I got them for my daughters Pred. 90, haven't tried them yet. What's bad about them? Got 22" sandstars for my V-Force, haven't tried those yet either......
